Ministries

We are currently looking for readers, ushers, Altar/Flower Guild volunteers, Lay Eucharistic Ministers for Sunday service, traveling Lay Eucharistic Ministers (no previous knowledge needed, we will train), as well as parishioners to serve on our Buildings and Grounds team.   If you feel called to serve, please reach out to Fr. Kyle for more information.

Altar/ Flower Guild

The Altar/ Flower Guild is a group of men and women who are called to serve God by preparing and tending the places where we worship. The work of the Altar Guild usually proceeds quietly behind the scenes, and their primary purpose is to care for service equipment and prepare the church for worship services, as well as display beautiful flower arrangements for each week’s worship.

Church Grounds

Calvary is blessed to have such a beautiful and historical church that is so critical to our Worship, Fellowship, Education and Outreach Ministries. The Church Grounds Team is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and beautification of the grounds around the church.

Finance and Stewardship

Calvary’s Finance team is comprised of Treasurers and lay members that mainly oversee investments and craft budgets. Calvary’s Stewardship program centers on the belief that everything we have is a gift from God, and as such, should be given back to Him.

Morning Prayer

This meaningful ministry helps to lead individuals through scripture and The Book of Common Prayer Monday through Friday at 9:00am. If you’d like to join this ministry, click below for more information.

Music and Choir

Calvary Church’s music program is an integral part of the worship experience. The hymns, songs, and anthems are intended to support the lessons being taught during the service and underline the Sunday message.

Outreach

Community Outreach has always been a key ministry area for Calvary Episcopal Church. Throughout the year, the congregation participates in supporting our local food pantry and fundraising for groups like Family Promise with events like Box City.

Service Assistants

We have a faithful group of parishioners that volunteer as Ushers, Lectors, Acolytes, Lay Ministers, and even offer administrative support. There are opportunities for youth and adults to serve, and are always looking for new members.

Sunday School & Youth Group

Calvary offers Sunday School for children in grades pre-K through 8th. Calvary’s Youth Group (CYG) is our exciting and meaningful ministry for young adults/students from 8th through 12th grade.

If you are feeling called to being a Sunday School teacher or Youth Group leader, let us know.
